That Place Of Escape

Do you ever have one if those days where you just think about that place you want to escape to? Monday was definitely one of those days for me. I took this picture when I lived in Texas. Texas holds a special place in my heart and this picture reminds me of that. I see it and it brings brings me to this calm and quiet country road. I drove this road so many times and always slowed down when I came to this area. I know there will be a day when I will visit this exact place again and I can't wait.

My Baby Girl Is 3 Years Old Today

Sick and Tired

My poor son (Lil Manny) has been battling an ear infection since the 4th of July weekend. He finished his first antibiotic. After going to the doctor again he now has a stronger antibiotic. Lil Manny hasn't been sleeping well at night or during naps but when daddy got home he passed out. We layed on the couch and he just snored away. I'm still fighting a sinus infection with antibiotics too but I definitely don't feel as bad as Lil Manny looks. We'll just pray that he makes a speedy recovery.

Light Show

I was able to catch some video of lighting flashing while I was on my way to work at 1:30am. I took the still images from the video. I thought I looked really cool.

Sick Day

It started on Thursday when I felt I was beginning to get sick. Friday came and then I knew for sure that I possible had a sinus infection.
Friday evening I contemplated going to the emergency room at the VA Hospital. My wife suggested I call in sick but I don't like doing that. Plus I can't remember the last time I did and it's too much of a hassle to find the phone number. I then woke up at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday to get ready for work and I was convinced that I was going to call in sick because how much worst I felt. Well at 3:00 a.m. I clock into work and two hours later I'm leaving to go to the VA Hospital. I'm expecting to spend at least two to three hours at the hospital. I get there and I'm the only one there. The triage nurse takes me in and soon after the doctor calls me in. Diagnosis: Sinus Infection. I was given antibiotics and was out of there in about one hour. I then drove home, said hi to the family and then went to sleep. I have to swallow those horse pills for fourteen days but I pray that the infection will be gone by then.

Date With Daddy

Recently I talked to my wife about how it would be good to start having a date night with my daughters. I can say without a doubt that my daughters first date was with their Dad. Having that one special day of the week devoted to each one allows me spend quality time with each one. I can still here one daughter tell the waitress, " We're on a date". I hope to keep this up for as long as I can. When my son gets old enough then we'll have boys night. I've been blessed with these munchkins and I just want to make our time together be memorable.

Gilbert's Story

It all started Christmas 2009. My in-laws bought my daughters a Little Mermaid fish tank. The 1.5 gallon tank is only good for holding one small fish. This was told to us from an employee at Petsmart. We then bought five small fish because my in-laws thought it would be okay. The next day one of the fishes went belly-up. Then a couple of days later another. All died except a Red Wag that my daughters recently named, Gilbert.

A New Day

Today is a brand new day and woke up to my son (Lil Manny) giving me booger kisses. Then my two girls come in and give me a good morning kiss. Sunday mornings are one of the best mornings because I don't have to go to work. This is the only time that I get more than three hours of sleep. Now we're getting ready to go to church except mommy and Lil Manny. Lil Manny has An ear infection in both ears and tonsillitis so Mommy is staying home with him. I'm looking forward to spending time with the family and getting stuff done around the house. We'll see how it actually works out.

My son always tries to follow me into the garage when I
leave. This door leads there and we are now aware that he
Is capable of opening it.

Home made bread

Eating some homemade bread with spaghetti and Italian sausage.
